About the Africa HR Forum & Career Fair

La mayor concentración e intercambio entre los profesionales de recursos humanos en África

The Africa HR Forum is a pan-African conference that seeks to provide a unique opportunity for Human Resource Leaders & practitioners across Africa to share ideas on innovative approaches that elevate industrial standards and discuss challenges associated with their practice.

This first edition was launched in the summer of 2020 under the theme: “Redefining HR practice amidst technological advances, data acquisition challenges and job market uncertainties”

The virtual restoration of the 2020 Africa HR Forum presential event (due to COVID-19 restrictions), was celebrated in May, June & July 2020, the Africa HR Forum & Career Fair; which, marked the beginning of a revolution that encouraged a proactive solutions-oriented series of debates that engaged national & international stakeholders in various key sectors, and outlined practical measures for the continuation and development of E.G. and Africa’s economies during times of crisis.

The Africa HR Forum & Career Fair is hosted by the Government of Equatorial Guinea and organized by iCUBEFARM in partnership with the African HR Confederation and other key players in the HR industry across Africa.

The 2020 forum saw the participation of about 577 HR practitioners, In-house Human Resource Managers, Consultants, CEOs, Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Professionals from key markets dedicated to commemorating the effectiveness of the human capital management across all industries. And content-wide participation from all 5 regions of Africa including international countries such as US, UK, etc.

8 Insightful panel discussions touched on key issues associated with the practice of human capital management across Africa with both the public and private sector.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the pan-African Career Fair was not organized and failed to reach our goal to provide opportunities for employers and recruiters operating across Africa to provide information on their organizational culture, available vacancies and employment guidelines to potential employees.

The Second Edition: AHRF
& CF 2021

The 2nd edition of the Africa HR Forum will provide a unique meeting environment for a diverse community of HR practitioners, In-house Human Resource Managers, Consultants, CEOs, Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Professionals as well as Senior-Level Government Officials involved in Labour and Employment matters. With the aim of sharing innovative insights on employment-related issues, the 2021 Africa HR Forum will be a two-day hybrid conference featuring virtual panel discussions, company presentations, etc. and physical high-level discussions. Los delegados will participate in engaging exchanges, allowing them to gain strategic insight on key issues associated with the practice of human capital management across Africa.

The 2021 Africa HR Forum is being organized in recognition of the International Labour Organization’s Human Resources Development Recommendation 2004, (No. 195) that provides effective skills policies and systems for building skills and talent, and the National Economic and Social Development Plan of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Volume II, Chapter IV, which seeks to significantly strengthen human capital in a bid to boost productivity and improve the quality of life of citizens.

This year, the theme of the 2021 Africa HR Forum & Career Fair is:Reimagining talent management practices to foster workforce skills in response to the advancement in technologies and market needs”.

The Government of Equatorial Guinea, through the Ministry of Labour, Employment Promotion and Social Security, the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform in collaboration with iCUBEFARM and the African HR Confederation will host the 2021 edition of Africa’s premier HR event.

In view of providing a dynamic platform where companies and job seekers can meet and build professional relationships amongst themselves, a pan-African Career Fair will be organised alongside the 2021 Africa HR Forum. Participating employers will benefit from exhibiting their organizations, including the possibility to conduct interviews with qualified candidates seeking employment opportunities. Job seekers on the other hand, will receive career development advice from leading experts and will be given the opportunity to network with potential employers in view of presenting their proficiencies, experience and career goals with hopes of getting hired for a job, an internship, apprenticeship or placement opportunity.
