About the iCUBEFARM
Jobseeker Series

iCUBEFARM is hosting, from 23rd to 27th May 2022, a Pan-African Virtual Jobseeker Series aimed at providing young job seekers: students undergoing tertiary education and recent graduates in Africa, with employment opportunities and knowledge, by addressing the challenges that they are facing as well as career orientation and guidance on the demands of the labour market.

  • Discussions with industry experts/leaders on current training and labor market options
  • Panel discussions addressing relevant issues that will result in the sharing of good quality information, advice and guidance that can help orientate young people to secure stable employment
  • Browse available job vacancies and chat with entities with the hopes of securing employment opportunities

Young job seekers will have the opportunity to connect and exchange with a wide range of industry experts and leaders to gain insights and knowledge on Africa’s labour market
needs.

Objectives

Cognizant of the policies laid down in the ILO’s Human Resources Development Recommendation 2004, (No. 195) and AFCFTA free movement policy for persons to freely seek and accept employment, all of which seek to develop and empower human capital, iCUBEFARM is passionate about empowering Africa’s youth with employment opportunities and facilitating capacity building opportunities.

Specific Objectives

  • Provide a platform for discussion regarding the development and recruitment of Africa’s workforce– to address the challenges, gain insights and chart a path forward
  • Provide a recruitment tool (job board) to connect talent in Africa to a wider range of employment opportunities (jobs, internships, apprenticeships, etc.)

Networking and Showcasing opportunities

Networking opportunities and showcasing employment opportunities for employers and jobseekers to build sustainable professional relationships.

Entity Participation:

Entities/ companies will have the opportunity to expand their reach and connect with talent within and outside their immediate region. Entities can purchase a ticket for the opportunity to showcase on this Pan-African platform, their organizational culture and available job vacancies at the cost of $150 only.

Purchasing an entity participation ticket provides entities with the following benefits:

  • Publish unlimited job vacancies on the iCUBEFARM job board (for a period of three months) to which an array of talented jobseekers will apply online and enable their entity to recruit virtually by contacting applicants directly through the recruitment portal.
