The closing session of the Africa HR Forum – HR Insights Series 2022, hosted by the Federation of Uganda Employers, and organized by the Ministries of Labor and Public Administration of Equatorial Guinea and ICUBEFARM

Join us for the closing session of the HR Insights Series 2022 as Manafa Shaffi discusses “The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: Implications for the Workplace”.
The December session of the HR Insights Series is being hosted by the Federation of Uganda Employers and will hold on Friday, 16th December 2022 from 14h to 15h WAT (GMT+1) in English and French. The Speaker is Manafa Shaffi. Manafa Shaffi is the Head of Membership Development Marketing & Communication at the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE), Uganda’s sole employer organization and one of Uganda’s leading business associations. His career began around 2004 with FUE where he was involved in marketing FUE services and advising members on a wide range of labour relations, responsible business and on FUE policy issues. He has also developed critical competencies in understanding management practices, corporate sustainability, and advanced brand & corporate Relations. Five noteworthy achievements attributable to Shaffi are the establishment of FUE relations with the Chinese in Uganda through the FUE-NHO-CEC trilateral cooperation program, Initiation of CSR sensitization and awareness program amongst companies in Uganda which culminated into, FUE establishing, hosting and officially launching the UN Global Compact Network Uganda, the re-launch of the Annual Employers Award for Excellence in Human Resource practices among companies in Uganda which enhanced FUE’s prominence in 2008 and the establishment of the East African Employers Organization.
The Africa HR Forum- HR Insights Series, which is organized in collaboration with the Ministries of Labor and Public Administration of Equatorial Guinea, is scheduled for every third Friday of each month and is designed to provoke creative thinking, anticipation, and proactive planning among HR practitioners, leaders and People Management professionals so that they are always ahead of the curve and are proactive in anticipating the next required step in their strategic and operational roles in 2022 and beyond. Each session is held in English with French interpretation available.
